Lintex produces notice boards for schools and offices, but does so with a sharpness and finesse that is comparable to a well-developed fashion collection. In the world of non-design, Lintex maintains its very own stance, working with some of Scandinavia’s best designers, bringing a stylish and functional beauty to tempered glass, textile, wood and steel ceramic surfaces. Focus on design and material elevates the function and makes the boards a pleasure to use. The products deliver a simple function, but do so with elegance.
Working with sustainability is crucial and Lintex is constantly trying to improve its environmental profile. Today, production is energy neutral using geothermal heating and 3,200 solar panels installed on the roof of the factory. The panels produce 1.1 million kWh annually. Solar panels and geothermal heating together produce as much heat and energy as the factory needs. The system is built to be able to deliver green energy for many years to come.
Through its own production, Lintex can decide which raw materials and processes to use from a sustainable perspective. But design must also be long-term. Products with high design value last longer and are reused to a greater extent in new environments. If a product survives from one office to another, its environmental footprint is significantly reduced. Good design and durable quality never become obsolete.
Lintex works closely with the Swedish reference and labeling system Möbelfakta and Sundathus environmental data system. Lintex is also ISO 14001 certified.
